🏳️‍🌈LGBTQIA+ Speed Dating Night 🏳️‍⚧️ 06/24/2023 5:00-8:00pm

Come visit all of the residents at Aloha Animal Sanctuary and maybe find your next date too!

This event is our first of hopefully many speed dating events. In honor of Pride we are starting June off with 🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQIA+ night 🏳️‍⚧️

We will have check in start at 5:00pm (please be on time), once everyone is here, has a name tag and a complimentary beverage for your nerves we will start a tour of the sanctuary so you can meet all our residents and learn a little about what we do. Tours will include education about the background and mission of the sanctuary, along with introductions to each of the animals who call the sanctuary home. For the animals who love their photos to be taken there will be plenty of photo ops as well. However, we kindly remind all visitors that we are a sanctuary and not a petting zoo. Some animals may not want to interact with us during the tour, and we will never force them to. At Aloha Animal Sanctuary, the animals come first. 

After the tour it's on to the speed dates! We have 24 attendees and each date will last three minutes. After all your dates are completed you will note on your date card who you'd like to see again. Our hostess of the evening will call and let you know who you matched with once all the date cards are reviewed.

Some things to keep in mind:

❤️ Purchasing a ticket gives consent to give your email address and phone number to only your matches.

🧡 Place your phones on silent or put it on airplane mode at the time of arrival so everyone is presented minded.

💛 Please be respectful, even if you aren’t interested in the person, be kind.

💚 Do not pressure people to say they’ll match with you.

💙 Dress up for the occasion like it’s date night but farm style. We ask that you wear close toed shoes for your safety. I know it's not perfume or cologne but bug spray goes a long way when it comes to Windward side mosquitoes. Make sure you feel comfortable but understand you could get dirty. We have lots of chickens, dirt and possible mud if it's rained.

💜 Speak up if someone has said something offensive or behaved inappropriately, they will be asked to leave.

❤️ Try to ask creative questions others may not ask, also ask yourself what kind of date or partner do you want out of this experience when coming up with questions.

🧡 Think of what you want to tell people about yourself.

💛 Remember to have fun — everyone’s in the room for the same reason, so relax!

💚 You may need a water bottle or rain jacket. We do have a few umbrellas in case of rain. Speed dating will take place under our covered welcome center area.

💙 Unfortunately, we do not allow companion animals to visit the sanctuary for the safety of our residents, please make arrangements.

💜 If any participants have symptoms or are feeling sick, please do not attend. 

❤️ Please note that we will not offer refunds unless the event is canceled by Aloha Animal Sanctuary. 100% of your ticket cost goes directly towards the care of the animals. If you need to cancel we will offer another date for a tour if requested. If another speed dating event is available we can also offer that option to you.

🧡 The waiver that is sent to you after purchasing your ticket must be completed before check in, no exceptions.
