About the Event
The sanctuary is working on fencing one acre of pasture to create additional space for the animals to roam freely and happily during the day. In this volunteer day, we will be preparing the pasture for the fencing project, and need strong arms to help us unload the heavy fencing material once it arrives at the sanctuary! The rolls of fencing we will be unloading are each about 150lbs. For safety reasons, this volunteer day will be adults only! We will also be working on clearing the pasture area of any trash, as the sanctuary grounds were once used as an illegal dumping ground.
Another task we will be working on is moving the big pigs' wallow. The wallow is a mud lake the pigs enjoy for cooling off and ultimate relaxation. We are building a new pig barn that will be built where their current wallow is, so we…
