About the Event
Looking for volunteers that feel good about breaking a sweat and doing some manual labor! We are going to be moving mulch, gravel, cleaning our office, and setting up a new animal shade. We may not get to everything but there is plenty to do!
Because of the pandemic, this volunteer day is limited in participants to 9 people, 10 total including the leader. You must register if you plan on coming. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind sweating in :) Face masks are required at the sanctuary. Bring a full water bottle (it can get hot!), and depending on the weather we recommend sunscreen, a hat, and/or a rain jacket. Feel free to bring yourself snacks but out of respect for the animals we ask that you only bring plant-based snacks to the sanctuary.
Kids are welcome though we do not have any kid-specific tasks planned for this volunteer day (sometimes we organize planting or gardening tasks for the keiki but we don't have anything like this planned for this day). We always start off our volunteer days with a mini tour of the sanctuary and an introduction to all of the residents.
