Amy was once a member of our wild chicken flock at the Sanctuary. Moe, Amy's companion, is actually her son. Amy was one of the original wild chickens at the Sanctuary and raised her babies right here on the sanctuary grounds. Growing up in the safety of the Sanctuary allowed Amy and her chicks to become trusting, outgoing, and affectionate toward humans.
 
At the Sanctuary, we believe in keeping families together whenever possible, and we are grateful that Amy and Moe get to spend their days side by side. Their enduring bond is a beautiful reminder of the deep family connections that chickens share and the importance of giving them a safe place to thrive.
