Gary was found being attacked by other wild roosters on the property. Immediately we realized Gary is a very docile and sweet too. He has always been this way since we first found him.
Gary is blind from one of his eyes, which puts him at a disadvantage when finding food and being attacked by other roosters. His personality makes him an easy target for the more aggressive roosters, who want to challenge him over territory, food, or other hens (or maybe just because they’re jealous of how fabulous Gary is?!). Because of this, we keep Gary in a safe enclosure away from the other aggressive roosters.
